Witnessing for Lord Jesus Christ
From Acts 7, 8 , 9 and 26th Chapters
In Acts chapter 26 we see Paul standing before the King Agrippa and defending
himself on charges of having persecuted Christians. The authorities, before
whom, he is standing now and defending himself, are persecuting him.
If we go back and see Acts chapter 9 we see how Paul, who was called Saul
before his conversion, persecuted Christians. The persecution described in
chapters 7 and 8 continued for some time.
Even after Christians were scattered from Jerusalem to Judea, Paul traveled 150
miles to Damascus to harass them. As he was nearing Damascus a light suddenly
shone from heaven around him. And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying
unto him, ‘Saul, Saul, Why do you persecute me?’ ‘who are you, Lord?' Saul
asked. ‘I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting,’ he replied, ‘Now get up and go
into the city, and you will be told what you must do.’...‘yes Lord, he
answered.’ For three days he was blind, and could see nothing. Later, as he was
instructed he went to the house of Ananias. Ananias called him Brother, Saul,
the Lord -- Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you were coming here --
has sent me so that you may see again and be filled the Holy Spirit .’
Immediately, something like scales fell from Saul’s eyes, and he could see
again. Saul then has decided to work for Lord Jesus Christ. He was then called
Paul.
Paul was a Roman citizen; he had opportunity to study under foremost teacher,
Gamaliel. It was not his education that prompted to work for Lord Jesus Christ,
but it was his zeal.
Even as Paul was being persecuted, he witnessed for our Lord Jesus Christ. He
gave his testimony and explained in detail how he encountered Lord Jesus Christ,
and how he was saved. On hearing the testimony of Paul, Festus went to the
extent of calling Paul, “insane”; he said, “you are out of your mind, Paul!” he
shouted, “Your great learning is driving you insane.” Nevertheless, Paul
defended saying, “I am not insane”, ... “what I am saying is true”.
No doubt, when we venture speaking about Lord Jesus Christ, people will call us,
“insane”, “crazy”, etc., and may even persecute us, but our responsibility to
stand for Jesus Christ and to proclaim that he is the savior of the world.
Dear Friend,
Today is the day of salvation. Please confess your sins
to Jesus Christ and be blessed. Receive Salvation and
eternal life. Jesus is the Way, the truth, and the
life. Holy
Bible says God created man, in his own image and named
him as Adam and God put him in a very comfortable place
called 'the garden of Eden' and gave him a wife, whom
Adam named as Eve. God gave Adam and Eve all the freedom
except for eating the forbidden fruit, which Eve and
Adam ate and brought sin into this world. In order to
redeem mankind from their sin God sent his one and only
son, Jesus Christ, who died for our sake, was buried,
rose from the dead and ascended in to heaven.

God bless
