Serve Jesus

"When God calls a man, he bids him come and die." His words ring of Jesus' words in Matthew 16:24. "Then Jesus said to His disciples, 'If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me."

Jesus warned over and over again that one must count the cost before following Him. A believer once scolded the church in his day for not standing against Hilter's evils. What would that believer, if he were alive today, say about us? Today's heroes of the faith are those who are willing to stand up and be counted for righteousness.

There is nothing that equals serving Jesus, and only serving Jesus Christ counts ultimately. Whatever we earn on earth is for us to leave behind here on earth, but what we earn and store for us in heaven is for us to take advantage of eternally. Selfless service, honesty and sincerity are the qualities that He looks forward apart from Holiness and righteousness.

Let us examine in the light of the word of God, if we are failing in any area.
