DARKNESS SIGNIFIES SIN

Message by Leslie M John

Darkness signifies sin, rebellion, which are Satan’s attributes. When the light came into existence on Almighty God’s command, the darkness disappeared. This darkness had no power over Lord Jesus Christ, who was and is the light of the world. He came into this world to save sinners.

He is the redeemer – redeemer from sin, redeemer from darkness and, redeemer from sickness. He offered Himself as a” Lamb of God” to be crucified on the cross. taking upon Him our sin and die on behalf of us. He was buried and God raised Him from the dead on the third day.

”The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.” (John 1:29).

Lord Jesus Christ lived, with his resurrected body, on this earth for forty more days after His resurrection, and many saw Him and bore witness of His resurrection. Mary Magdalene and the other Mary were at the tomb on the third day after crucifixion of Jesus. The angel said to them that Lord Jesus Christ was not in the tomb anymore; but He rose from the dead. Jesus, after staying for forty days on this earth, ascended into heaven. The Father sent the Holy Spirit into this world to comfort us, guide us, and lead us in His ways.

The Lord Jesus said to His disciples that “the Comforter, who is the Holy Ghost, and whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.” (John 14:26).

The Law was given by God through Moses to the children of Israel, but the grace and the truth came from Lord Jesus Christ. Law could not redeem anyone from sin, but only pointed their transgression of the law. Their daily sacrifices were a cover for their sin, but it was through Lord Jesus Christ that salvation came to all those who believed in Him.
